Are Your Products Gluten Free?

Most of our products are gluten free, with the exception of the following items, which do contain wheat-derived ingredients.The Ginger People products are also free of gelatin, animal fat, artificial preservatives and colors.

How long does ginger juice last once opened?

As with most condiments, ginger juice and our ginger sauces won’t spoil after opening within 3 to 4 months under refrigeration. However, we don’t recommend keeping opened product longer than 3 to 4 months. Ginger juice will lose it wonderful flavor and potency over time, much like horseradish.

What is the difference between Minced, Grated and Sushi ginger?

Minced Ginger is finely minced – almost like a puree. It should be used as a replacement for fresh ginger in any recipe. The Grated Ginger contains thin slivers of ginger or “shoestring” cut. The Grated Ginger is a pickled product in a sugar and natural rice vinegar brine. It can be used as an ingredient in sauces, salad dressings, and cold salads such as tuna salad, coleslaw or potato salad. The Natural Pickled Sushi Ginger is an all natural version of the thinly sliced pink ginger that is traditionally served with sushi in Japanese restaurants. It does not contain any artificial dyes or preservatives. It has the same pickled flavor as the Grated Ginger.
